InnoNext: Fully-funded Innovative Internships
InnoNext is now open to EIT Talents and Startups! InnoNext, a new initiative powered by the European Innovation Council (EIC), is now open to the EIT Community. The Initiative offers fully-funded Innovative Internships to connect high-potential researchers and talents with innovative startups and SMEs across Europe, from leading European Programmes like EIC, EIT, ERC, MSCA, and Horizon Europe Research Infrastructures.
By linking academic excellence with entrepreneurial ambition, InnoNext aims to accelerate innovation, support scale-ups, and enhance the impact of research across sectors.
Who can take part? Talents
- Students in (and graduates from) EIT Label Masters and Doctoral programmes
- EIT Alumni member Participants from other postdoctoral training programmes supported by the EIT Community
Startups and SMEs
- Start-ups/SMEs supported by EIT Community and business creation services
- Start-ups/SMEs created as a result of receiving support from KICs
- Startups/scaleups/SMEs that have been partners of KICs for Innovation activities
- The startups/scaleups that have at least one co-founder who is an EIT Alumni member
How it enhances impact
For talents, InnoNext offers the opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world business challenges, while gaining valuable entrepreneurial and professional experience.
Participants will be able to build a strong network within Europe’s innovation ecosystem and receive financial support throughout a fully-funded internship lasting between three and six months.
For startups and SMEs, the programme provides access to highly specialised research talent, enabling them to host internships without any financial burden. Through the InnoNext
platform’s AI-driven matching system, companies can find candidates aligned with their innovation needs and benefit from fresh insights to support product development and scale-up efforts.
